Viking's History

On June 1st, 1965 Viking was born. We started out as a land-clearing contractor in the early years, clearing orchards in preparation for housing developments throughout Southern California. But the trees were quickly disappearing, so building demolition was a natural step.

The early '70s brought a shifting of the company gears into full-time residential, commercial, and industrial demolition.

Today, Viking has felled over 20,000 structures. Mike, Scott, Todd Tredick, as well as Berger Jostad head up the demolition operation. We have experience in several areas including building demolition, tenant improvement, dismantling and recycling, site clearance, asbestos and lead abatement, hazardous materials abatement, land clearing for new construction, earthquake cleanup, and fire debris cleanup.

Our fleet of CAT 973 loaders, semi-end dumps, trucks, skid-steer loaders, and Komatsu excavators with shears, concrete pulverizers, hammers, buckets, and grapples enable us to perform at your job site.

Viking can handle your demolition as well as your environmental work. Thus, we pride ourselves on being thorough and being able to utilize a turnkey approach. We work fifty-percent of the time in public works and fifty-percent in the private sector.

Viking stands out among the competition through our vast experience, our ability to handle a job from start to finish, and the money and resources we put into our employees.
